FAQ

All About Hair

What kind of hair is used in the EurostyleWigs products?

Eurostylewigs.com offers quality Indian Virgin Hair. We source the finest virgin hair available in the world. Both of them are natural 100% human hair and they’re collected directly from healthy donors in virgin condition.

Can the hair be straightened or curled?

Since all hair pieces from EurostyleWigs are made of 100% human hair, you can treat these wigs as if they were your own hair – curling and straightening as desired. But please DON’T do that too frequently because the heat will cause the hair to become more dry and easily-tangled. You might also consider less damaging styling options for more frequent use, such as using hot steam rollers for example. And our wigs also air dry beautifully for a natural look.

Can the hair be colored /dyed?

Most EurostyleWigs units come in a number of colors, lessening the need for re-coloring. If you do need to re-color the wig, please be sure to take it to your professional hairstylist if you don’t have enough experience. Improper dyeing will cause the hair to become dry and to tangle more easily, and can lead to hair breakage.

How to care for the hair?

  • When you are brushing your hair, be gentle! You must always use a wide-tooth comb to brush hair from the bottom up, small sections at a time. For CURLY hair please detangle it when in water with conditioner. DON’T comb it after it is dry, otherwise this will cause tangling and matting. Without the proper treatment, your hair will quickly become damaged.
  • Use quality brand hair care products to keep your hair soft. Avoid using hair products that contain alcohol because these make the hair dry. Chemical products are frequently used to add curl to straight hair or to loosen curls in curly hair. These products can permanently alter the structure of the hair and can also cause severe hair loss from over-processing. Never use perms or relaxers on damaged hair.
  • Wash and condition hair regularly. Detangle hair gently before washing. Wash the hair gently in one direction only with warm water and some mild shampoo, followed with conditioner. Rinse the hair carefully and let air dry. DON’T rub the hair while washing it.
  • Hair with curls or deep waves always needs more maintenance than slightly wavy or straight hair.
  • Always braid your hair before going to bed, swimming or exercising. Never sleep with wet hair.
  • Prolonged sun, water and wind exposure can damage the hair. It is also advised that you prevent hair from coming into contact with salt water and chlorinated water as these factors can also contribute to the wear.

How to wash human hair

Before you wash, make sure you carefully detangle the hair using a wide-tooth comb. Rinse from the hair root to the tips in lukewarm water. Or immerse the piece in lukewarm water Wash the piece with mild shampoo

Smooth the shampoo from the root to the hair tips section by section. DO NOT twist or rub. Gently rinse the piece from root to tips in lukewarm water.

Squeeze excess water. DO NOT wring the hair.

Apply leave-in conditioner from the mid-shaft to the ends(avoid the roots or knots) and leave in for a few minutes.

Cleanse the piece in lukewarm water and comb the hair with your fingers to keep the hair in the same direction

Gently squeeze excess water. DO NOT rub or wring.

Wrap the hair with a towel, or preferably a T-shirt, to gently squeeze out the excess water. DO NOT twist or wring

Secure your hair topper on a Wig Head and part the hair as you want. Then blow dry the hair.

What are the differences between human hair and synthetic hair?

There are advantages to both and both are great choices for you depending on your budget, time, and needs.

Human hair offers the most natural look and versatile styles. With proper care, human hair can last one year or even more. Keep in mind that human hair does not come out of the box ready to wear. You may choose to have it customized by a professional stylist to get exactly the look you like.

Synthetic hair comes with ready-to-go styles and is more affordable than human hair, but it cannot be styled in many different ways like human hair. Synthetic hair is also less durable than human hair, won’t last as long, and it does not feel as soft to the touch.

All about Lace Wigs

What is a Full Lace Wig?

A full lace wig is constructed from a lace cap that covers the whole head and the 100% human hair is knotted into this by hand. On standard lace wigs there is a strip of stretch lace over the top of the crown to allow for movement such as hair growth underneath and for variations in head size. Full lace wigs can appear very natural whether you opt for free parting, updos or ponytails.

What is a Lace Front Wig?

A lace front wig has lace that is usually 3-6 inches wide at the front, and the back of the wig is constructed like a traditional wig with machine-sewed wefts of hairs sewn into strips of fabric, typically netting. It's a great option for beginners who are inexperienced with wearing full lace wigs. But you cannot wear a wig with this type of cap in a high ponytail, and you can only part it as far as the lace panel extends (i.e. in the front only).

What are Bleached Knots?

Bleached knots mean bleaching out the knots that are formed during tying each strand of hair into the lace by hand at the base of cap. By bleaching, the knots will be much less visible because they will be a lighter color and the whole lace wig will look more natural, similar to a natural head of hair.

How to choose the wig color?

EurostyleWigs.com offers a wide range of colors. However, choosing a wig color is easier said than done. Here at EurostyleWigs.com we want to make it as easy as possible for you to find the right color for your wig.

  1. If you are new to wigs, consider staying close to your natural color (you can always have fun experimenting with color later).
  1. Send in a great quality picture or an actual hair sample along with the wig style names that you are interested in. Our licensed cosmetologists will help with color matching.

How to figure out my cap size?

To determine the right size wig cap for yourself, you should take your measurements carefully. First you should pin your hair as flat and tight as possible before taking the measurements, or leave your hair down if that is how you plan to wear it under your wig. Then jot down your measurement and consult the table below. We have a guide that will help you measure your head to determine the best size!

How do you choose the right hair density?

Hair density refers to how thick the hair is. The hair density that you order is based on personal choice and what looks best on you. Most women achieve a natural appearance with light to medium or medium density; however, your choice will depend on your styling preferences and individual profile.

  • 50%-100% wig density: Extremely low density. When the hair is parted, the scalp is exposed, making your hair look unreal.
  • 130% wig density: This wig density is generally the standard for the most natural-looking wig, and used by many.
  • 180%-200% wig density: This density is ideal for anyone who loves longer wigs, they are full and offer a good bit of volume. Also if you are searching for a wig that can be styled into up-dos this is the perfect wig for you.
  • Above 200% wig density: We do not recommend this density.

Are there custom wigs available for unique specifications?

Yes, we provide customized services. Please email the hair info you want to eurostylewigs@gmail.com and our customer service will show you how to proceed.

What is the best way to store a wig?

A wig stand or mannequin is ideal. It will help keep the hair from becoming tangled and will help to maintain shape. Also, see if you can find a cool, dry spot to keep wigs in the best condition. To prevent the color from fading, store your wig out of sunlight, and to prevent it from getting dry, you might cover it during the winter season if the air is dry from your heater.

Can I swim or shower with my wig?

We do not recommend this. It can put too much stress on the hair and create unmanageable tangles. Also, pool chemicals and salt can damage the hair and affect color.
